Calendar 2022
Twelve months, twelve geometric patterns: fruit and leaves cut into simple shapes, one bold palette per month.
The brief
A wall calendar with a new pattern for every month, cheerful enough to keep on the wall all year.
My role
I designed all twelve patterns, the date grid and the layout.
Twelve patterns
Every pattern is built from the same geometric language: circles, half-circles, quarter-circles and leaf shapes. Each month picks a fruit or a season and a palette to match, from citrus orange and lemon yellow to watermelon red and deep winter green, with Sundays and holidays picked out in colour on the grid below.
January to December
Reflection
A calendar is a lesson in consistency: twelve different pages that still have to look like one object. Keeping the same shapes, grid and type, and changing only the motif and colour, did exactly that.
